The market can be a great outreach site for nonprofit groups (other than those focused on political or religious expression.) Some groups staff the market booth, while others offer an event, such as a kids' art activity.

OSU and LBCC students: Want to help Oregon Trail (Food Stamp) recipients use their benefits at farmers' markets? We have two Students in Service opportunities that come with Americorps educational benefits and reimbursement for travel expense. Both the Albany and Corvallis positions are in this document. Help us spread the word.
